Dorian Devers named Contact Energy's development chief

Contact Energy has announced the appointment of Dorian Devers as the company's new chief development and major projects officer.

Devers, who previously served as Contact's chief financial officer, will assume his new role on January 1, 2025.

The decision to create this position and promote Devers comes as Contact continues its focus on decarbonisation and the development of renewable energy projects.

The company said it aims to streamline the end-to-end development and project execution process.

The new role also consolidates the development and major projects functions, following the upcoming retirements of chief development officer Jacqui Nelson and major projects director Jack Ariel.

Contact Energy is actively involved in geothermal, solar, batteries, CO2 and wind projects.
