Fletcher Building appoints Andrew Reding as CEO

Fletcher Building has announced the appointment of Andrew Reding as the company's new group chief executive officer and managing director.

Reding, who has over 35 years of experience in the construction materials and building products sectors, will join the company's board on Aug 22 and assume the CEO role on Sep 30.

Fletcher Building's acting chair, Barbara Chapman, expressed the board's satisfaction with Reding's appointment, noting his "calibre, experience and respect in the market".

Reding, in his comments, said his immediate priorities would be to improve operational performance, position the company for future market conditions, and address existing issues.
