Fletcher Building has reported a net loss of $419 million for the 2025 financial year, compared to a loss of $227m in the previous year.
Revenue for the year was $7 billion, down 9% from FY24.
Ebit before significant items was $384m, $125m lower than the prior year, resulting in an ebit margin of 5.5%.
The company also announced $702m in significant items, with $644m relating to continuing operations.
However, Fletcher Building said it made progress in strengthening its balance sheet, reducing net debt to $999m from $1.77b.
The company's return on invested capital was 4.5%, compared to 5.5% in FY24.
Looking ahead, Fletcher Building expects low market volumes and subdued demand in New Zealand, while the outlook in Australia is uncertain.
