Foley Wines has reported strong sales results for the 2025 financial year, despite the challenges faced by the New Zealand wine industry.

The company's bottled sales revenue increased by 6% to $66.4 million, while case sales rose by 9% to 610,000.

However, operating earnings were down 66.4% to $1.4m, and the company reported a after-tax loss of $1.9m, a 54.5% decrease.

Foley Wines attributed the decline in operating earnings to the need to be strategic in selling wines and focus on premium products, due to the smaller size of the 2024 vintage.

The company said its investment in Asian markets has paid off, with case sales in the region up 115%.

Foley Wines also highlighted the success of its hospitality venue, The Runholder, in Martinborough.

The company said it has made progress in environmental sustainability, with the transition to lightweight bottles and the use of renewable energy.
