Fonterra shareholders have today voted overwhelmingly in favour of the Co-operative's new Flexible Shareholding structure, with 85.16% of the total farmer votes cast in support of the proposal.
The results of the nine resolutions at Fonterra's Annual Meeting were all above 80%, showing strong support for the direction of the Co-op.
Fonterra will now continue to work with the Government on how the changes can be implemented under the Dairy Industry Restructuring Act.
