Fonterra director Andy Macfarlane announces retirement

Fonterra director Andy Macfarlane has announced his retirement from the board, effective after the 2025 annual meeting.

Macfarlane, who has served on the board since 2017, will also step down from his role as a Fonterra-appointed director of FSF Management Company in December.

Fonterra shareholders will have the opportunity to elect two farmer-elected directors at the upcoming director elections.

While Macfarlane will not seek re-election, Alison Watters, another farmer-elected director, has confirmed her intention to stand for re-election.

The nominations for the director elections will open on Aug 29, 2025, and the annual meeting is scheduled for Dec 11, 2025.
