Fonterra has announced changes to its management team, with managing director of co-operative affairs, Mike Cronin, stepping away from his role to focus on the potential divestment of the company's consumer businesses.
Cronin, who has been with Fonterra since 2002, will remain with the company until the divestment process is concluded.
Matt Bolger, a former Fonterra employee, will return to the co-operative and take over as managing director of co-operative affairs in March 2025.
Bolger previously worked at Fonterra for over 18 years and is currently the pro vice-chancellor of The University of Waikato Management School.
In his new role, he will be responsible for functions such as farm source, global stakeholder affairs and trade, governance, risk and audit, corporate communications, legal, and Māori strategy.
