Fonterra has reported strong financial results for the 2023/24 financial year, with a profit after tax of $1.168 billion and earnings per share of 70 cents.
The co-operative achieved a return on capital of 11.3%.
The company's full-year milk collections reached 1.471 billion kgMS.
Fonterra's final farmgate milk price for the 2023/24 season was $7.83 per kgMS.
As a result of its strong performance, Fonterra announced a total dividend of 55 cents per share, which includes a special dividend of 15 cents.
