Meridian Energy has appointed Benjamin Bateman (Ngāi Tahu) as its next Future Director, effective 28 February 2023.
Benjamin has had a career in public service roles related to national security, including for the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet.
He was recently appointed Chief Operating Officer at Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu.
The Future Director Programme, administered by the Institute of Directors, is designed to grow the next generation of directors in Aotearoa and recognise talented executives interested in developing governance skills.
