Comvita has announced the appointment of Karl Gradon as its new chief executive officer, effective from August 1, 2025.
Gradon, who has extensive experience in global leadership within the primary industry, previously held senior roles at Fonterra and Kerry Ingredients.
He also served as the chief executive of New Zealand Manuka Group and Miraka.
Comvita's chair, Bridget Coates, expressed confidence in Gradon's ability to lead the company into its next phase of growth.
Gradon's appointment comes as Brett Hewlett concludes his tenure as acting chief executive, effective July 31, 2025.
Hewlett will remain with Comvita in an advisory capacity until the end of September.
