Scales Corporation (NZX:SCL) has withdrawn their 2023 Underlying Net Profit Guidance due to the wide ranging impacts of Cyclone Gabrielle on the Hawke’s Bay region.
The priority for the company remains the safety and well-being of their staff.
Initial assessment is that 4 of their 15 orchards are damaged, with 3 having extensive damage and 1 moderate.
There is still a substantial proportion of the crop available and remaining to be harvested for export, with picking having recommenced early in the week.
No material operating impact is expected on their other business units.
