Mercury has announced the appointment of Craig Neustroski as its new chief strategy and transformation officer, effective from October 1, 2025.
Neustroski, who is currently the chief operating officer for customer, will be responsible for developing and executing Mercury's strategy for long-term, sustainable growth.
The company said this new role brings together strategy, transformation, and technology enablers under one executive member.
Mercury chief executive, Stew Hamilton, said the decision to elevate strategy and transformation reflects the company's intent to sharpen its focus on driving success and unlocking future opportunities.
A new chief people officer role, with a focus on culture and talent development, will also be recruited.
The refreshed executive leadership team will include Hamilton as chief executive, Richard Hopkins as chief financial officer, Kevin Taylor as chief operating officer for generation, and Tim Thompson and Matt Tolcher as executive general managers for wholesale and generation development, respectively.
