Meridian Energy chief executive, Neal Barclay, has announced his decision to step down from the role at the end of June 2025.
Barclay, who has been with the company for seven years, played a key role in growing Meridian's renewable development pipeline and securing a 20-year contract with New Zealand Aluminium Smelters.
He will be succeeded by Meridian's chief financial officer, Mike Roan, who has been with the company since 2006.
Roan's appointment as chief executive will take effect after Barclay's departure.
