Meridian Energy Limited's monthly operating report for July 2022 reveals that national hydro storage increased from 94% to 144% of historical average, with South Island storage increasing to 146% of average and North Island storage decreasing to 132% of average.

Other highlights include record inflows in the Waitaki catchment, the highest July month inflows on record, national electricity demand 1.1% lower than the same month last year, New Zealand Aluminium Smelter's load at 575MW and Meridian's New Zealand retail sales volumes 2.4% higher than July 2021.
