Napier Port has withdrawn its earnings guidance for FY23 following the disruption caused by Cyclone Gabrielle.
The Port suffered only minor damage in the event, with full container and bulk cargo operations resuming promptly.
However, trade volumes have been reduced due to damage to regional infrastructure and export commodities, resulting in uncertainty over the financial outcome of the Port's material damage and business interruption insurance claim.
Road access is opening up locally and rail line services are expected to recommence shortly.
