NZX chief executive Mark Peterson has announced his resignation and will be leaving the company in April 2026, following the annual general meeting.
Peterson, who has been with NZX since 2015, served as chief executive for the past nine years.
He said his decision to step down was based on the company's strong financial position and the successful delivery of key initiatives.
NZX chair John McMahon praised Peterson's leadership and highlighted the growth in operating earnings and funds under administration during his tenure.
The NZX board will now begin the search for a new chief executive, both internally and externally, including internationally.
