Restaurant Brands, the owner of KFC, Pizza Hut, and Taco Bell, has reported record sales of $1.4 billion for the 2024 financial year, a 5.4% increase from the previous year.

The company's group net profit after tax (NPAT) also surged by 62.6% to $26.5m.

The strong performance was driven by New Zealand and Hawaii, which delivered positive same-store sales and solid topline growth.

However, trading conditions remained constrained in Australia and California, where economic conditions were more challenging.

Restaurant Brands' focus for the year ahead will be on protecting and improving margins, while retaining brand strength and customer relevance.

The company did not provide guidance for the future, citing the uncertainties in the prevailing environment.
