Prue Flacks, the Chair of Mercury's Board, has announced her retirement at the end of December 2023.
Scott St John has been elected as the next Chair.
Flacks expressed confidence in St John's leadership abilities and praised the well-balanced and focused Board.
St John, who joined the Board in 2017, is currently the Chair of the People and Performance Committee and holds director positions in other companies.
Flacks' retirement was acknowledged by Mercury's CEO, Vince Hawksworth, who commended her contribution to the company's transition and growth.
The appointment of St John as Chair has been approved by the Minister of Finance and will take effect on January 1, 2024.
