Shayne Tong appointed Warehouse Group's digital chief

The Warehouse Group has appointed Shayne Tong as its chief digital and transformation officer, effective from August 28, 2025.

This newly created role aims to accelerate the company's transformation ambitions by leveraging technology investments and reducing operating costs.

Tong, who previously served as the chief digital officer at Foodstuffs South Island, brings extensive experience in digital strategy and transformation leadership.

He has also held senior technology leadership positions at Auckland District Health Board, Genesis Energy, Fletcher Building, and various international banks.
