Simon Mander has resigned as Metro Performance Glass' Group CEO and will be leaving the company on May 10.
Simon Bennett, a current director, has been appointed as the new executive director, with the leadership team now reporting to him.
Bennett will serve as a non-independent director while in this role, and his performance will be overseen by the chair of the board.
In a statement, Metro chair Shawn Beck acknowledged Mander's leadership during the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as the challenges posed by structural changes in the New Zealand glass industry and a contraction in the construction sector.
No further details were provided in the announcement.
