Tower chief executive, Blair Turnbull, has resigned and will step down on February 12, 2025, after the annual shareholder meeting.

Turnbull, who joined Tower in 2020, played a key role in the company's transformation into a leading direct insurer in New Zealand and the Pacific.

Tower's chair, Michael Stiassny, expressed gratitude for Turnbull's leadership and acknowledged the progress made under his tenure.

Turnbull said it was a privilege to lead the company and highlighted the importance of its 150-year anniversary in Fiji, the opening of a new operational centre in Suva, and its entry into the NZX top 50.

He plans to compete in an ultra-running race around Mt Kilimanjaro and spend time with family before deciding on his next career move.

Tower's board will now begin the recruitment process for a new CEO.
