Trustpower has announced that all substantial conditions for the sale of its retail business to Mercury Limited have been met.
The sale, expected to be completed on 1 May 2022, includes Trustpower’s retail contracts to supply electricity, gas, fixed and wireless broadband and mobile phone services to approximately 234,000 customers across New Zealand.
Upon completion, the remaining generation and commercial sales business will be renamed Manawa Energy Limited.
Further information on Manawa Energy will be provided in mid-April.
