The Chair of Arvida Group Limited (Arvida), Mr Peter Wilson, today advised that the Chief Executive Officer, Bill McDonald, would be stepping down from his position at the end of September to pursue personal interests.

“Bill has done a fantastic job leading Arvida through an NZX listing in 2014 to become one of the larger and most respected retirement village and aged care operators in New Zealand,” said Mr Wilson. “On behalf of the board, shareholders and our staff we would like to thank Bill for his valuable contribution over the past seven years.”

Mr McDonald said, “We had a vision to bring about a transformation in the delivery of aged care in New Zealand. We created and embedded a deeply passionate organisational culture focused on delivering quality customer-centric outcomes. This has delivered better outcomes for our residents and staff and significant value to our shareholders. Now is the right time to hand over to Jeremy as Arvida enters the next stage of growth.”

Current Chief Financial Officer, Jeremy Nicoll, has been appointed as the incoming Chief Executive Officer. Mr Nicoll will start in the Chief Executive Officer role in October 2021.
