Retirement of Chair, Rodger Finlay

PGG Wrightson Limited* (PGW) Chair, Rodger Finlay announced that he would be retiring from the Board effective 30 June 2022.

Mr Finlay said that “After a stimulating term as Chair I have determined that the time was right to retire and to free up capacity to devote to other recent governance commitments. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as Chair of PGW which is such an important part of the fabric of New Zealand’s primary sector. It is gratifying to be departing the business while it is in such great financial health and so well placed for the future.”

Deputy Chair, Joo Hai Lee said “The Board and management team wished to extend their gratitude to Rodger for his great service to the company as Chair and as a member of the Audit Committee. Rodger has provided excellent leadership through his tenure as PGW has reset its strategy and refocussed on its core offerings. The business has prospered throughout this period and the impressive results we have seen speak for themselves.”

“We thank Rodger for his excellent contributions and wish him well for the future.”

“In the coming weeks, the Board will reassess its governance requirements and update the market as to the appointment of a Chair as we approach the end of the fiscal year.”
