Appointment of Chairman


The Company is pleased to announce that Ronald Gould will succeed John Russell as Chairman of the Board with effect from today. Ron was appointed as a director on 28 October 2021.

Ron is an investor and strategic consultant in the financial services sector with extensive experience in both Asia and Europe. He was Senior Adviser to the UK Financial Services Authority, Chief Executive Officer of investment bank, ABG Sundal Collier, Managing Director of AXA Investment Managers and Vice Chairman of Barclays Bank asset management activities.

With the appointment of his successor as chairman, John Russell retires from the Board with effect from 21 June 2022.

Ron said, “The Board and I would like to thank John for his leadership and contribution to the Company over his many years of service. Henderson Far East Income Limited will continue to deliver its remit of providing shareholders with a growing total annual dividend per share, as well as capital appreciation, from a diversified portfolio of investments in the Asia Pacific region.
