INTENTION TO APPOINT NEW NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO SKYCITY BOARD

Pursuant to NZX Listing Rule 3.20.1(a), SkyCity Entertainment Group Limited (SkyCity) advises that it intends to appoint David Attenborough as a non-executive director to the SkyCity Board with effect from 1 March 2023.

This appointment remains subject to approval by regulatory authorities in each of the gaming jurisdictions in which SkyCity operates, a process which normally takes some months to conclude. Pending receipt of those regulatory authorities, he will be available to assist the SkyCity Board in an advisory capacity from his date of appointment.

SkyCity Chair, Julian Cook, commented that “David has extensive gambling industry, corporate governance and sustainability experience which will bring considerable expertise to the SkyCity Board. We are delighted that he has agreed to join the SkyCity Board”.

David Attenborough

Sydney-based David Attenborough has strong gaming experience with over twelve years’ experience at ASX-listed Tabcorp Holdings Limited as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director. Prior to joining Tabcorp, Mr Attenborough was Chief Executive Officer (South Africa) of Phumelela Gaming and Leisure in South Africa and previously held senior roles with a variety of casino and racing organisations. He is currently a non-executive director of Hostplus, an Australian-based superannuation fund.

Mr Attenborough holds an MBA from Henley Business School, and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) from the University of Exeter.
