PricewaterhouseCoopers has been Seeka Limited’s [NZX: SEK] external auditor for 16 years. As a matter of corporate governance, the Board considers it good practice to rotate audit providers after 15 years. The Board requested a formal request for proposal process to be carried out at the completion of the previous year’s audit. This process was overseen by Seeka’s Audit and Risk Committee and as a result of the process, the Board has selected Grant Thornton to succeed PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Seeka advises that it has accepted the resignation of PricewaterhouseCoopers as external auditor of the company effective immediately. On the same day, Grant Thornton will be appointed as Seeka’s new external auditor for the financial year ended 31 December 2023.
Seeka would like to thank PricewaterhouseCoopers for their services over the past 16 years, which saw Seeka grow from revenue of $95m to $348m.
