General Capital appoints new CFO

General Capital, the listed financial services group, today announces the appointment of Nick Pimenov as the Chief Financial Officer subject to regulatory approval.

Mr Pimenov joins General Capital on 18 March as CFO Designate. He will participate in a handover from current CFO Victor Pliev before commencing in the CFO role on 1 April 2024. As previously advised, Victor will step down on 31 March 2024.

Nick is a Chartered Accountant with over 14 years’ experience having obtained a BCom and DipGrad from the University of Otago. He will join General Capital from Continental Cars where he was the Senior Finance Business Partner. Prior to that he held finance roles at Academic Colleges Group, 2Degrees Mobile and Audit New Zealand.

General Capital Chair, Rewi Bugo welcomed the appointment saying “The Board is pleased to welcome Nick as the new CFO of the Group at this time of significant growth and regulatory change. We look forward to the value Nick can bring to the business as we continue to grow our assets and earnings.”
