Fletcher Building announces Executive appointment

Auckland, 27 February 2024: Fletcher Building Ltd today announced the appointment of James Peters to the role of Chief Executive New Zealand Distribution.

Mr Peters brings more than 25 years of experience in growing distribution businesses across both physical and digital channels. Most recently, he was Vice President at Amazon Japan from 2015 to 2023, where he spearheaded the fashion business in that market, achieving significant growth and materially improving customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Fletcher Building Chief Executive Ross Taylor said: “Over the course of his career, James has held senior leadership roles at some of the most innovative, customer-focused organisations in the world. He has a proven track record of successfully positioning and growing distribution businesses by achieving the best customer experience through the culture of the organisation and putting in place a true omnichannel experience.

We have a strong Distribution business and team which, under James’ leadership are well positioned to take advantage of his experience and the growth opportunities which lie ahead. James will be relocating from the US to Auckland with his family and commences on 1 May 2024.”
