Independent power producer Manawa Energy has made two new appointments to its management team with Richard Spearman appointed General Manager Market Operations, and Deborah Sinclair appointed General Manager People.
Richard joined Trustpower (now Manawa Energy) permanently in 2004 having provided services to the business for a number of years prior. His most recent role was Commercial Development Manager, overseeing growth and progression of the generation development pipeline.
Deborah has more than 20 years of people and culture experience in a variety of senior roles in New Zealand across a range of industries. She joined Trustpower (now Manawa Energy) in 2022 as Head of People & Culture, supporting Manawa Energy’s transition to an independent power producer along with developing and embedding the company’s revised people and culture strategy.
The new appointments are effective today.
Manawa Energy also confirmed that for the purposes of the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013 and the NZX Listing Rules, the Chief Executive and Chief Financial Officer are senior managers and will disclose information in accordance with section 297 of the FMCA.
