PGW Executive Appointments

PGG Wrightson Limited1, (PGW) CEO Stephen Guerin today announced the appointments of Rachel Shearer to the role of General Manager Wool & bidr® and Sarah Mears to the role of General Manager People & Safety.

Both Rachel and Sarah will report to the CEO as members of the PGW Executive team.

Mr Guerin said, “Rachel Shearer joined PGW in 2016 as GM People & Safety. Following the passing of our GM Wool, Grant Edwards in April this year, Rachel stepped into the role in an acting capacity. Rachel comes from a farming family background in North Canterbury with prior experience in the mining sector before joining PGW. In her acting role as GM Wool Rachel has confirmed her passion for the sector and expressed a desire to continue to lead our Wool business.

Sarah Mears joined PGW in 2011 as the Human Resources partner for our Retail Business. In 2019 Sarah was promoted into the Group HR Manager role before this most recent promotion to lead our PGW Group people functions as GM People & Safety from the acting role she has held since April. Prior to joining PGW, Sarah had extensive experience as a HR professional and has demonstrated a strong track record and a passion for our business.”
