Vista Group announces change of Chief Financial Officer
Vista Group International Limited (NZX & ASX:VGL) announces the resignation of its Chief Financial Officer, Matt Cawte, and the appointment of Matt Thompson, Vista Group’s current Global Head of Finance, to replace him. The role transition will be complete by 31 March 2025.
Matt Thompson is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years of financial experience. Prior to joining Vista Group in 2019, he held senior financial positions with Just Eat plc, a high-growth FTSE 100 technology company, as well as other prominent UK businesses within the film and entertainment industry. Before that, he spent eight years with KPMG in New Zealand.
Vista Group’s Chief Executive, Stuart Dickinson, noted: “Matt Cawte has made a significant contribution over his almost six years with Vista Group, including playing an instrumental role in successfully guiding Vista Group through the challenges presented by the pandemic, pursuing our cloud strategy, and steering the financial management of the company.
“I know Matt Cawte is looking forward to a well-earned career break. He leaves the business and the team in great shape, having today released strong annual results for Vista Group, delivering on market expectations, and with an unqualified audit report from PwC. On behalf of Vista Group, I would like to thank him and wish him all the very best for his future endeavours.
“With our strong internal team and succession planning in place we are delighted to have someone of Matt Thompson’s calibre and experience to step into the role of Chief Financial Officer. His knowledge of the business ensures a seamless transition as we continue to deliver on our strategy and build on the momentum achieved in 2024. Matt is well respected across the team and Vista Group’s Board, and I am confident that he will thrive in this new role.”
Authorised for release by the Board of Directors.
