New Zealand Acquiring Update

Smartpay is pleased to announce the successful implementation of the initial customer pilot of the New Zealand acquiring solution. Smartpay previously announced, early 2023, the intention to become an acquirer in New Zealand.

Throughout February a number of New Zealand merchants, across a range of industries, have been engaged with Smartpay in the pilot of the new Smartpay terminal and acquiring solution. The initial phase of the pilot has been successful, with transactions processed, settlement processes confirmed, month-end statements provided, and very positive feedback received from the customers.

Smartpay is now ready to expand the pilot to a broader network of both existing and new merchants over the coming months.

This is a significant milestone for Smartpay and further executes on our strategic intent to be the leading trans-Tasman payments provider.
