Government announces that it is considering selling Chorus UFB funding securities

The Minister of Finance and Minister of Infrastructure have today announced that they have asked National Infrastructure Funding and Financing (NIFFCo) to investigate the feasibility of selling the securities the Crown holds in Chorus Limited.

These securities were the Crown’s funding mechanism for the various UFB build programmes successfully completed by Chorus.

Chorus will monitor the NIFFCo process. If that process results in any disposal of the securities to a third party we do not anticipate any material change to the terms and conditions on which those securities were issued.

The announcement can be found here.
