- Formed on October 1, 2018, with the merging of functions from the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment and Ministry of Social Development.
- Monitors Kāinga Ora, and the Treasury’s Tāmaki Redevelopment Company.
- Aims to address homelessness and housing affordability, and to make cities more liveable.
