A merger deal between 2degrees and Vocus NZ is now a possibility after 2degrees confirmed its listing on the ASX and NZX is on hold on Wednesday. On Thursday morning, 2degrees’ parent company, the Toronto-listed Trilogy International Partners, entered a trading halt citing “pending news”.New Zealand’s main challenger in mobile telecoms, coupled with Vocus NZ’s fixed-line assets and customer base, are “a very logical combination,” according to a source with knowledge of the industry.“Strategic...
