A second helicopter operator that pleaded guilty to WorkSafe charges relating to the Whakaari White Island tragedy has gone into liquidation.On Dec 9, 2019, the island's volcano erupted while 47 people were visiting. The blast killed 22, and a large number of the others were seriously injured.Ten organisations were charged by WorkSafe, and seven were convicted for failing to meet their duties.They included helicopter operators Volcanic Air Safaris, Aerius and Kahu New Zealand.Volcanic Air Safaris went into liquidation in 2022, citing t...
