Co-operative businesses last about five times longer than standard companies, according to their industry body.Co-operative Business New Zealand released a report this week, which showed the country’s top 30 co-ops and mutuals reported $51.9 billion in revenue, equivalent to 12.5% of GDP, and had assets worth $43.5b in 2024.That was compared to 2020 when those major co-ops had revenue of $41.6b and assets of $39.5b.Co-op NZ represents the country’s co-operatives, mutuals, and building societies, which include producer co-ops su...
