Auckland's Covid-19 testing rates fell away in lead-up to community transmission outbreak

While hundreds of cars have clogged South Auckland streets leading to covid-19 testing facilities over the last two days, the daily average testing rates in the Counties-Manukau district health board area in late July and early August had fallen to around 200. That was down from almost 1,000 per day on average in late-June and 500-to-600 per day during the first covid-19 wave.
