New Zealand credit and debit card spending rose marginally in April as pressure on household finances persists.The total value of electronic card spending, including in non-retail services and other non-retail categories, was up a seasonally adjusted 0.9% to $8.8 billion in April from March, according to Stats NZ in its monthly report.Westpac senior economist Satish Ranchhod called it "quite a weak result".“If I look back over the past year, spending levels have essentially been flat," he said."The population...
