TV3 and Magic Radio broadcaster MediaWorks is cutting around 130 jobs and extending pay cuts for four months to help offset a revenue shortfall caused by the national lockdown in response to the covid-19 virus. In an email to staff this morning, chief executive Michael Anderson said the media company would begin reducing the size of the business, cutting “in the region of” 130 jobs from sales, out-of-home and radio divisions.
