The 11,616 new cars that hit the road last month reflected a year-on-year decline in registrations of 27.4%, the Motor Industry Association (MIA) says. Its sales and registration data show consumers have kept their foot on the brake regarding upgrading their cars, with overall numbers 10.8% lower than the same time last year.That's because of a 34.9% drop in light passenger vehicles driven off the lot, at 7,571 units. MIA chief executive Aimee Wiley blamed higher interest rates for dampening consumer spending &...
