Reserve Bank of New Zealand deputy governor Christian Hawkesby downplayed the inflationary risk associated with further weakness in the NZ dollar.He said the dollar is currently around fair value and is expected to “remain broadly in line with current levels”. “We know that there are interest rate differentials between New Zealand and other countries, and that information is already baked into where the currency is at the moment,” he said. The NZ dollar has fallen nearly 7% against the US over the past 12 month...
