Pilots association slams 'reckless' plan to shut 7 regional towers

Airways’ plan to shut down air traffic services at seven regional airports is reckless and ill-informed, the New Zealand Airline Pilots' Association said.State-owned Airways, which controls the national air traffic control system, is looking at shutting down air traffic services at seven regional airports where there are limited or no commercial flights operating, it said in a statement.
