Small business sales strongest in June since lockdown

Small businesses enjoyed the strongest sales in June since last year's lockdown and growth of jobs in the sector maintained momentum.The data collected by accounting software provider Xero showed sales through small businesses in June was up 11.7% compared with June last year after annual growth of 6% in May and 8.1% in April.The year-earlier data has been adjusted using June 2019 data to arrive at an appropriate base, considering the country was in lockdown under alerts level 2, 3 and 4 from late March to the second week of June.Jobs in th...
