Generous government support for workers who lose their job due to covid-19 is beginning to roll off for the initial recipients, just as wage subsidies also taper to a finish.Data from Ministry of Social Development for the week ended Sept. 4 shows there are now 6,000 fewer people on the Covid-19 Income Relief Payment (CIRP) than the week before.The total number of people receiving the CIRP is now 18,608, down from 24,811.
