Tourism and restaurant sector representatives today warned huge job losses were imminent and appealed to the parliamentary epidemic response select committee for further subsidies to offset rents for struggling firms.Tourism Industry Association chief executive Chris Roberts told MPs some of his members had negotiated arrangements with their landlords and could see a “route for survival,” but others had landlords refusing to offer relief and those firms couldn't see a way to keep trading.“They may be using the wage subsidy to help out staff, bu...
