Recent rain increased national hydro storage by 1% last week and the electricity sector will be hoping for more wet weather soon.The downpours meant New Zealand hydro storage climbed to 55% of the historic mean last week.North Island hydro storage decreased from 28% to 27% of the historic mean for this time of year, and South Island storage increased from 58% to 59%, according to system operator Transpower.This might not sound much but the slight increase in Lake Pūkaki was the first since April.
