Auckland Future Fund to announce global investment manager ‘imminently’

The board of the Auckland Future Fund has yet to appoint a global investment manager, but says an announcement is imminent. The Auckland Council capitalised the fund, which was set up last year through the long-term plan (LTP) process to provide a diversified income stream, with $1.3 billion worth of shares in Auckland International Airport.The shares were sold last December. The council appointed a three-person board of investment professionals to manage the fund: chair Chris Swasbrook, Craig Stobo and David Callanan.The board starte...
