Heritage Lifecare has bought the Golden Healthcare Group in Christchurch for an undisclosed sum to make it New Zealand's third-largest aged care provider.The acquisition brings seven new aged care homes and two adjoining villages into the Heritage portfolio, taking Heritage's total to 49 homes and retirement villages and making it the largest operator behind Bupa and Ryman Healthcare.Heritage chief executive Norah Barlow says the purchase is "a very, very lucky investment that we're very pleased to have" and that the Golden Healthcare facilitie...
